The Gothic period, mid 12th century through mid 16th century, was characterized by the use of the ribbed vault and the soaring pointed arch. The Cross is a sacred symbol that represents the intersecting of Heaven and Earth—the spiritual and the material worlds. The four quadrants, delineated by the arms of the cross, can be seen as the Four Cardinal Directions —North, South, East, and West, or the four Alchemical elements—Earth, Air, Fire, and Water.
Our design was inspired by the dark, yet creative Gothic subculture of today; embracing the “feel” of the 13th century Gothic cathedrals and the shape of the mythical vampire. Use the Gothic Cross to bring “light from the dark” as well as strong protection against evil.
