Celtic Warrior's Shield
This shield of protection is a Celtic design based on the numbers three and four. The central design in this work is a quatrefoil composed of four circles interlocked into magical Celtic knots. These circles are constructed by using the four corners of a square as the center points of the circles. They represent the four corners of the Earth, the four winds, and the four elements—earth, air, water, and fire. Most importantly these points represent the four angelic guardians. The quatrefoil is a symbol of good luck as in the four leaf clover.
Captured at the edge of the mail quatrefoil are four sets of three interlocking circles. The number three is a symbol of luck and invokes the three fates. Overlapping circles create a "Triple Vesica" bringing perfection in thought, word and deeds, as well as help finding love, enhancing power, and bringing wisdom.
